Judges’ Comments

Awards Judging Panel

The IWCE Awards go from strength-to-strength, demonstrating the momentum in the movement for greater equality of opportunity within the construction and engineering sectors.

We had a staggering number of entries this year. Each and every one is another important chip away at the idea that construction is a man’s job. By coming together with male allies at our conference and awards ceremony, we are proud to provide a hub of support and exchange.

Choosing a career in quantity surveying and the construction industry has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.  I’m honoured to be surrounded by my peers tonight at the Inspiring Women in Construction & Engineering Awards.  To the incredible women who’ve paved the way and the allies who support us—you inspire me every day to push boundaries, break glass ceilings, and work toward greater equity in the workplace, not only for ourselves but for the young women following in our footsteps.
