McLaughlin & Harvey is delighted to announce that we have been appointed to deliver the Community Diagnostic Centre at Braintree Community Hospital for Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust.

Works include the reconfiguration and refurbishment of an existing single-storey St Michael’s Health Centre building, including a new build extension, to provide a new Community Diagnostic Centre.

The new facility will deliver MRI, CT, ultrasound and echo imaging. Whilst also providing further diagnostic capabilities with other clinical functions such as phlebotomy and physiological measurements, along with one stop shop clinics.

We are pleased to appoint a build partner to support this important programme of work. Working alongside NHS Property Services and the Trust, we aim to complete the initial build by December 2024, with the full centre opening in the spring of 2025. The Community Diagnostic Centres will provide faster access to diagnostic tests, which will in turn speed up treatments.
